About Dr. Cho Li Wei

Dr. Cho Li Wei is an accredited Endocrinologist, registered to practise in Singapore and United Kingdom (UK). Her subspecialty interest is in reproductive endocrinology, particularly in management of polycystic ovary syndrome, with her other specialty interests in diabetes, obesity, thyroid and osteoporosis. She also manages a wide range of other endocrinological disorders such as adrenal and pituitary disorders, lipid, hypertension and calcium disorders.
She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physician, London (UK) and Fellow of the Academy Medicine Singapore.
Dr. Cho completed her undergraduate medical training at University of Glasgow (UK) in 1999 and obtained her membership to the Royal College of Physician (MRCP) in 2002. She pursued her postgraduate training in the UK leading to the completion of the certificate of training (CCT) from the Joint Royal Colleges of Physicians Training Board (UK) in 2009 with dual accreditation in Diabetes and Endocrinology and in General Internal Medicine. She was also awarded her Doctorate in Medicine (MD) from the University of Hull (UK) in Diabetes and Endocrinology in that same year, in recognition of her research work and publications in polycystic ovary syndrome, insulin resistance and diabetes.
Prior to joining private practice, Dr. Cho was a Consultant Endocrinologist at Changi General Hospital (CGH), and the Programme Director for Diabetes at the Eastern Health Alliance (EHA) Health Management Unit from 2015 – 2020. Dr. Cho holds a Masters in Public Health (Distinction) from the University of Hong Kong (HKU). Aside from her medical duties at CGH, Dr. Cho held a secondary post as Clinical Senior Lecturer at Department of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University Hospital (NUH), in addition to being an appointed Adjunct Assistant Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School. She is passionate about research and had published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals and had over 600 citations in scientific articles.
Dr. Cho takes great pride in understanding her patients and planning customised treatments to support them in managing their conditions. She is able to converse fluently in English, Bahasa, Mandarin, and Chinese dialects (Cantonese, Hakka and Hokkien).
